Igneous rocks are rocks that have formed from the cooling of magma or lava. There are two different kinds of igneous rocks. Intrusive and extrusive.
Intrusive - Igneous rock that is formed when magma hardens below Earth's surface.
Extrusive - Igneous rock that has formed from lava on Earth's surface.

The rock on the left is called rhyolite. Rhyolite is a fined grained igneous rock. It has a mineral composition that is similar to granite. This rhyolite is an extrusive igneous rock. that means it was formed when magma hardened underground.
